About Us
As a licensed contractor since 1999, over the years I’ve had the opportunity to remodel and improve homes for hundreds of our customers in Central Florida. My love for remodeling homes led me to try to flip homes for myself – an exciting and nerve wracking experience. In 2006 I married the love my life, Aimee. With my remodeling experience and her eye for design, we continued to flip homes. Later we transitioned to flipping full time which created the need to find more “budget friendly” products for our remodels, including our roofs. That is when we started buying direct: kitchen, flooring, counter tops, bathrooms and more. However, there was one product that I would always buy retail: roofs. As someone who was always looking for the best deal and almost always bought direct, I was frustrated that it seemed impossible to do the same with roofs. It seemed like there was no ‘Rhyme or Reason’ to their pricing; one roofing company would come in at $7000 and yet another roofing company would quote me at $16,000 for the same shingle roof. Our house flipping business was growing, so it quickly made the most sense to become roofers for ourselves. What we soon realized was that there is a need for metal roofing at direct pricing in our community. This is how Direct Metal Roofing, Inc. came to exist.
